>>55616255It's ok, I find it comfy. A toned down adventure about exploration, ancient mysteries, camaradery and finding oneself. There aren't lots of battles and a lot of people hate that. I don't really mind personally.
That whole "group of nakamas with piratey vibes searching for ancient relics and a mystery land" thing may have some One Piece influences. Seems like that whole plot is going to be sidelined next arc, though.
Main flaw is that Friede with CHARIZARD and PIKACHU from KANTOOO is too much of a Deus ex Machina. For that same reason, Liko and Roy's development has been slow. Though the last couple of episodes have finally shown a slight change in the trend and the kids have been able to solve problems by themselves/with help from their Pokémon.
It's not a mindblowing story but it's ok, Pokémon was never going to revolutionize the industry. Ashfags aside, I don't know if /vp/ expected the next AoT or whatever. (AoT is a mid story for 14 year old edgelords and hard carried by the animation anyway)
