1. build his team around bedrill and do his best against the meta in stuff like on cart battles
2. play in a metagame where beedrill is actually good like lower smogon tiers
Regular beedrill is unironically so shit you can't even use it in gen 1 bottom tiers, meanwhile mega beedrill, while outclassed, still absolutely does have a niche and can be used.
this loops back to why people like megas in the first place, so their favorite pokemon get another chance to actually swing at things that aren't NFEs in ZU, there are more good megas than bad ones, and multiple places to try even bad megas out, now explain to me how having more options is bad without looking like a retard, go!
