>>55646062Like everything else pokemon now has hundreds of designers which are probably all young inters who weren't born when the original pokemon game came out so they don't truly understand it's roots of character design. It happens, look at WWE. It started out with literally 4 dudes sitting around with pens and paper writing creative story lines and designing fun gimmicks for wrestlers down to their clothes and how they should talk and interact with the crowd, to full on years long story archs that end in a big final match. NOW WWE Is written and designed by hundreds of millennials (or younger) interns walking around with clipboards who don't really have any real history in wrestling in any aspect. So the final product comes off very vapid or plain and uninspired. Most old companies are like that, especially when the original writers/artist aren't as hands on any more. Pokemon is 80 billion dollar business it's not a guy in his garage drawing fighting bugs and lizards and birds with his friends any more.
