>>55688474>If ai was really as convenient and helpful as people like you claim it to be, artists would have already abandoned their craft to flock to it.Ai art has only been in the public debate since 2022. It's like saying "well duh, people are still meeting IRL" when online dating first started.
Fast foward in 2024 and nearly 90% of couples first meet online and dating apps.
It's because I draw that I acknowledge that AI will kill a lot of what made art enjoyable for INTERNET ARTISTS. The desire to "compete" against very accomplished artists. The joy of giving people some big titty May because it was rare.
When something becomes easily available, it loses its value. People will still draw art but unless it's your life-calling and you truly do NOT care about anything.
Also, notice how fast AI is progressing.
Back in 2022 people called it shit, it couldn't even draw hands.
Now, it can ape any style and if you're dedicated enough you can "direct" what the AI will make with img2img and your own Lora. Once the technology becomes easy to use, normies will flock to it just like they flock to the internet and ruined it via smartphones.
In a perfect world, AI art should have never been made but now it's here and it will get worse
