>>55690598With regards the ghost type, the original artist didn't specify, but to avoid the, "Lol, it's a dead Vee!" problem, my interpretation of the concept is that it evolves upon resisting a possession attempt by a ghost type, wresting ghostly powers for itself in the process. Thus, it shackles spirits rather than BEING a shackled spirit - a twist on the expected chemistry. I also like the shackles because they're a lower leg detail that isn't just painting the feet a different colour again like with Glaceon and Sylveon.
The great thing about the wisp fluff is that it's subtle on this design. A lot of other designs try something similar but take it way too over the top. It sounds to me like you have very good taste. I'd love to hear your suggestion for flying type, though, because the gryphon one just isn't Eeveeish enough in my view and most other flying type designs are WAY more uninspired than Hawkeon.
As for ground type designs, yeah, I'm very much not fond of the recurring, "Ya like SAND!?" and "Ya like EGYPT!?" motifs that keep coming up in them either. I favour something more oblique like this, but as much as I adore this design, it does have a big problem of its own - namely the differing colour on the body and legs. So many Eevee fanarts take advantage of the flanks being able to be an expanse of single colour (see examples like

>>55684203, the "Underground Eevees" video on YouTube, etc), and Bristleon would mess that up big time. What are your thoughts on that?
