>>55672966Technically true, it also doesn't help that in a lot of ways Gen 5 is functionally similar to Gen 4 on almost every mechanical metric. Gen 1 and 2 and Gen 3 and 4 have a lot more mechanical difference between them. Even if Gen 5 is tonally and somewhat aesthetically off compared to the previous games it fits in other ways. I'd personally put it at the end of an era but it really could go either way.
