It just ticks a lot of boxes for me. It really feels like the perfect representation of a Psychic Pokemon to me-- it's anthro enough to read as intelligent and dextrous, as a psychokinetic being usually is. It's animalistic enough to still be strictly a monster, with the sharp claws and features. It's got that cool 90's body segmentation, which gives it a cool style. The color scheme is basic and inoffensive. The line has a great legacy, with being consistently strong throughout the years and its minmaxed statline. Memorable way of catching them and evolving them. Based line.
The only nitpicks I have are, I wish the shinies were better, and I think it'd be cool if Alakazam had Abra's tail, since tails are cool.
>>55692487Alakazam's obviously not in Gen 9, but if it was, it'd still likely have a place in OU. Gen 8 it was UUBL but still had a strong niche in OU, and considering how many top tier threats Alakazam is good into in Gen 9 OU, thatd surely be the case still. Magic Guard is a very strong ability for it.
