Kindergarteners in Japan watch Kimetsu. Japanese kids tend to be more mature than American kids precicely because they don't have helicopter parents like you policing what they watch/read. Super Sentai is a bit edgier than Power Rangers where there is violence against civilians, or some people actually die. Meanwhile the more recent Power Ranger shows usually refuses to say "die", renames any gun weapon to "blaster", and doesn't really show that much violence.
You realize that the source stuff for Yugioh and Pokemon and just about every other fad out there that blew up stemmed from dark, gritty, edgy shit, right?

Holy shit, have you read an actual children's story book in your life? Grimm Brothers fairytales had tons of blood, death, murder and torture. Actual children's stories and not factory produced crap like Pokemon games
