zoroark flopped so hard that they had to give people a free lucario advertised on the box and make riolu avalible early in the sequels

Let's not forget that Zorua was a non-legendary/non-mythical Pokemon, so why they would treat it as such is beyond me. Same goes for Lucario, actually. I assume that these were supposed to be legendary/mythical Pokemon at one point, but got altered in the final release.

It's still a lot better than having to take a train to Times Square to got handed a Pokemon along with hundreds of other retards. But I really liked how Meloetta was handled in SV. Aside from needing the DLC to get it, that's how I'd like Mythical Pokemon to work going forward. Lock them behind some bullshit playground rumor method that takes the internet a few days to figure out.

2010, the moment i saw this, my worst fears came true.

Gen 5 was really ugly and skepticism should be proven right. i couldn't have imagined back then that they could surpass gen 4 in ugliness but they did it.

If you were on the internet back when Gen V came out you'd know that Zoroark was a massive flop. You had some people wanting it for Smash, but overall people forgot about it pretty fast.
