>>55690570>updated mechanicsIt's basically mandatory, it's a gen 6 game. Just like FRLG updated the mechanics. It will become "outdated" eventually
>-better secret basesMini-game, but fair
>-dexnav>-areanavFair but ultimately pointless, you could remove those and few will mind unlike the day/night feature that was a huge part of gen 2's appeal and was lacking in RSE
>-better writing for the villainsIt's still shit but now that they force more and more dialogue upon you it's simply cringe. I'd rather infiltrate both team Magma and Aqua's HQs for more gameplay than having a gay pirate and a pasty nerd ramble on. The more pokemon tries to force its stories, the worse they become
>-soaringGimmick but fair

>-the whole "being in 3D" thingNow that's the biggest flaws.
ORAS is a 3D game built upon the game design of a 2D game. That means the world looks small, awkward and, frankly, ugly. 3 trees on pixel art make you think of a small grove. 3 trees in 3d are just 3 trees.
ORAS is now 10 years old and its 3D has become dated. Meanwhile RSE's pixel art is still charming.
So yeah, ORAS did improve on some stuff but it doesnt make up for what it removed(easier game, easier dungeons, shit postgame, etc)
