I mean, I know (You)re only bitching about it because you have America Derangement Syndrome, and therefore a compulsive need to whine about how "Americans are le bad!!!1!" for the most psuedo-intelluctual reasons imaginable, but I don't understand why so many other people are so bothered something so innocuous. Anyone is who isn't retarded intuitively understands that it's just generalized shorthand used when making a statement that applies to all mediums of entertainment, because saying "I watch/read/play/listen to the TV shows/movies/books/comics/video games/music/podcasts" is an annoying mouthful.
