You see, Steve, I'm not a heartless bastard. I do have a heart, and it bleeds every time I see an injustice. I've always wanted to help others, to be there for someone - but I'm too much of a coward. I've got a job, a house, a family I have to feed, and every time I see a person in need there are two thoughts floating in my head, "I have to do something!" and "My life and family are more important". And it doesn't help that my parents were heartless scats that always reprimanded me for even voicing my concerns.
Maybe, just maybe, if I wasn't tethered to such mundane things - then I might've let go of those internal fights and finally do what my heart desires... Oh, look at me rambling, Steve. You probably think I'm weird, aren't you?
