Those hexagonal spots that were scattered semi-randomly over certain pokemon bodies. It made a lot of mons look more natural and added some color detail on areas that otherwise would've been a solid color. All newer designs have perfect circles or geometric shapes spaced evenly apart. It looks artificial and sucks.
