I used to love this hack, really. I thought the dev had the same kind of autism I have, I thought I understood his vision.
Travel freely, challenging gyms, tutors for all the obscure event moves to help with gen 2 movesets, well-placed lore-accurate spawns. He kept it gen 2, no crazy gen4 mons and features. It was pure.
Most of all, GLORIOUS STADIUM 2 COMPATIBILITY. I was able to take my team off my GBC, onto N64, and finally beat Stadium 2. Keeping things Stadium legal helps keep the project from getting too out of control, it gives the playthrough some legitimacy as a 90s experience.

The people that have a problem with the black and brown NPCs are not the crazy ones. We are the normal PKMN players, we were all getting along just fine until Shockslayer was compelled to make the most unhinged and pointless choice in romhacking history. What was he thinking? Who was asking for that?

For my enjoyment I need a certain amount of legitimacy and purity in a hack. It needs to feel "canon". Is it autism? Maybe. But every person on this forum in this thread is autistic ESPECIALLY that asshole ranting about ecelebs.
anyway CrystalClear was exceptionally great and I shared a lot of its vision but it lost its way.
Emerald ROWE looks great but I wish it was only gen 3 mons. gen 8 mons in Hoenn is anachronistic to me.
