How do you feel about the modern Pokemon games using the players inevitable hyper competence relative to everyone else as a part of the story?
Sun and Moon, Sword and Shield and especially Scarlet and Violet all have some element of the player being a prodigy the likes of which no one else has seen. Even with Nemona being presented as someone who sees you as an attainable rival to the end, you're still hyper competent in every other way as well.
Do you think it's a fun little meta joke? Do you think it makes for interesting character interactions? Or do you feel it's simply an inevitable conclusion of the game design and writing for it.
