So how intelligent is the average Pokemon? In the games and anime they can express emotions like a person can and pretty much all Pokemon seem to understand at least a little English. Excluding exceptions like Alakazam which has an IQ of 5000 according to the Pokedex. Audino are adept at medical practice but probably don't know much more outside of that. Or Indeedee which can sense emotions and mimic human deeds, but they probably can't read. Since these traits seem to be innate to all Indeedee, what do wild Indeedee do before they're captured? Some are really smart, like Metagross which are smarter than a supercomputer, and some are really stupid like Slowpoke. Manaphy in Pokemon Ranger learns to speak a bit of English by the end. Uxie literally created human intelligence. Psychic types not withstanding, animalistic Pokemon are... animals, like Eevee. Some Pokedex entries label a Pokemon as "highly intelligent" but is that compared to the average Pokemon intelligence or the average human intelligence?
TL;DR how many Pokemon are sapient (or not)?
