>>55779088>wtf why are you picking the stock art from 99'?You mean the classic Digimon art? Why would I not? It's a fantastic art style that helps Digimon stand out among the other franchises.
>Also there are better options in both categoriesI like to choose based on what best represents the franchise, what best fits into the theme, and partially based on personal preference. (usually in that order)
Let me go over why I chose each one over the ones your brought up.
>dinorexmonDespite its name, it doesn't really scream T-Rex over any other theropod to me, especially raptors. Also Tyranomon was in the original V-pet and was originally intended as a mascot over Greymon, so I think Tyranomon's spot doesn't need second guessing.
>rusttyrannomonIt's a robot T-Rex, so it would feel out of place among fleshy ones, especially with actual flesh and blood T-Rexes to choose. Also it's highly detailed, even for a Digimon so it would look bad shrunk down to fit the image.
>BastilliodonAggron simply outranks it in age, better representing Pokemon as a franchise, and personal preference.
>Babycerasaurus>Dark DriceratopsI generally go with more classic Yugioh cards because I feel like they had a more unified art style back then. Nowadays their cards feel like they could have come from just about any franchise, which is fine, but when given the choice, I'm going with the classics the just scream Yugioh to me.
>ultimate brachiomonWas not even considered because that's clearly a fucking sauropod.
>any of gamamon's evolutions, I mean holyshit manYou have no idea how close I was to choosing WezenGammamon. Ultimately I chose Triceramon, because I think it's a really cool and underrated Digimon, but I think you are absolutely right here. WezenGammamon absolutely fits in better, both as a representation of ceratopsians and of Digimon as a franchise.
