I would keep the Beetwig line. If I were to remake the starter trio, I would make the Tortyke line the Fire starter and the Water starter will be the superhero. The latter I'm thinking a starfish. What do you guys think?

Why didn't you just made a big octopus that curls itself and disguise into a tree-shape instead of stealing a design? the suction cups of an octopus could literally mimics apples or fruits to prey on weaker hungry pokemon
heck the animal can even change color at will to mimics better in the sea
