also so as not to continue derailing the thread - pokemon go's playerbase is misleading. its all new players having fun for a week then quitting again, having never spent money. niantic weaponized fomo early on, which kept concurrent players. the problem is you are a new player, or stop for any amount of time, the content that you missed will never come back, so why waste your time. i quit in mid 2021 at level 46 because i got a new job that was too far to walk, nothing to do with the game itself. but i will never play it again because its impossible to start back and really treat the game as anything more than a stupid time waster
