>>55777128>re: sos chainingwhat the other guy said + it's absolutely essential you have either a trevenant with harvest, skill swap, trick, and a leppa berry or an exeggutor with harvest, skill swap, bestow, and a leppa berry; otherwise the mon you're chaining with is gonna kill itself with struggle eventually. i use trevenant personally because it can basically stall forever with ingrain and it's immune to normal and fighting which is super handy, plus it can trick the leppa berry back onto itself and then onto the shiny when it spawns, so IT won't kill itself with struggle - you can never be too careful. if you leave it in battle you miss out on intimidate/pressure boosts other mons could provide, but i've found the longevity of trevenant extremely worth it anyways.
you'll probably also want a pangoro with scrappy as your false swiper just in case you ever end up going for a ghost type. pretty sure it's the only mon up to the task.
in general you're gonna need an ENORMOUS stockpile of leppa berries, because you'll be runnning out of PP a LOT. i feel like most people will probably already have this, but it'll be extremely relevant while chaining so i thought it would be prudent to mention anyways.
oh, and one last thing: if you want to hunt something that always has a trapping move and a healing move
(dhelmise) it's in your best interest to give your false swiper a shed shell, which you can only get from wild scraggy, which is only in ultra. otherwise, you'll be taking a ton of extra damage.
hope i could help, good luck + happy hunting :D
