Reminds me of the time that I thought up the “Maushold C96” and “Remoraid 700”. Honestly I think I’m just going to go with real world gun names, it’s too much of a stretch to find Pokémon names for the manufacturers besides those two. Either that or making the guns functionally the same in our world but with completely different manufacturer names like Payday. I might even lift the names directly from Payday. But Nintendo canonically exists in the Pokémon universe and I’m probably too lazy to bother describing each and every firearm that appears by a fake name.

I'M the one in awe, not only is ivy absolutely beautiful here, the water looks lovely, what the hell are you and the other anons in this thread doing to draw water so well??? bibi deffo grows out her hair as she gets older but she probably cuts it again when she hits her mid 20's, how short though depends on what she ends up doing as a job. as for her scars, i think while she isn't necessarily self conscious about them (at least not til alto shrieks at the sight of them) she'll opt out of any midriff bearing outfits for the most part, but it's the beach, she can't possibly resist the urge to have fun in a cute two piece!

But then I admit I got a small crush on another wank OC because the artist was making interesting stuff with her: she is another wank OC, nothing will deny that, but he made her into an Aether employee, she banged a Machamp, he made her into a sexy senior student getting banged in front of the Sex Ed class. He made her do cosplay of Mona and B2, he put her on a virgin killer sweater, he made her into a lewd fast food employee, he made her having sex while pregnant AND lactating.
Is a wank OC? Yes. Do I like in how many situations he put her? Also yes. Those are the ones I keep saved on my PC.

Like I said: a persona, experiences, victories, and defeats, are the ones that make the character. Anything else is fluff.

On Koikatsu you have a wide arrange of characters with available online cards. The booru even simplifies this, so instead of buying the game, you can download a card, and use it.
The problem is the controls to change your character, and don't expect much. You can make fun pics, but remember Koikatsu is mainly for a self insert kind of game where you bone the 3D girls. Depends on the version, really.
Next is AI. Is very easy to get what you want if you input the right prompt, and you have a wide catalog of AIs to use. But some have restrictions like no offensive imagery, no lewd, no political idea that undermines the group, etc.
And if you want to get your own bot, you can, but creating one is a hassle because you need a bit of coding knowledge, and after that you have to make it learn with the images (you) feed to it, and that's another huge can of worms.

Pros and cons, really.

Wrong and incorrect.
There are NO restrictions of any form outside of user skill issue when running it locally, which is what most people do anyway. Hell it gives you even more freedom, with access to loras and poses for controlnet.
Training a model requires time and computational power, as well as knowing what the hell you're doing. But all of that isn't coding related, just inserting different weights and values in a menu.

The real cons to AI are that you need to fuck around and find out a lot to get prompts work (or steal them from /hdg/), which checkpoint model gives the best results und so weite. It's a steep learning curve, but that's about it. Once you figure it out properly, you're golden

Basically is the story of two men: George and Lennie. They try to work they way up in 30s America, working on farm and odd jobs.
Lennie is strong and capable, but he is mentally retarded, making him kill small critters by accident. George is more wise and cunning, and always took care of Lennie.
The story is about them in their last job "together": a farm in the midwest. Through the story, the wife of the owner shows she enjoys the men's attention (she wanted to be an actress), and she went to talk with Lennie. He was an innocent dummy, and he was happy a woman was talking to him. But then they hear the bossman screaming for his wife, Lennie covers the woman's mouth to not make her scream, but he was too strong and broke her neck. The last scene is this: >>55764607.
George has a final talk with Lennie, and kills him by shooting him from the back. When everybody gets to the area, they look at him, and he only replies "I did what I had to do". He gets fired, and leaves the farm with another buddy, looking for a job on his own now.
Is a sad but interesting tale. Like the writer wrote: it was something that happened. But it happened to a bunch of good people who wanted more in life than being mediocre. Great book.

I actually made the meme myself with the intent of mocking people who don’t take game mechanics into account in their writing. Weirdly enough I mostly just go with stuff that makes sense to me, that just happens to line up with game mechanics a bit more often. I wouldn’t say I hold the closest to them, though, as I do away with immunities and can have more than four moves on a single Pokemon. That would probably be Ruka, I think she herself said she’s trying to be as close to “classic” Pokemon as possible.

If I had my way I would get rid of Megas, Z-Moves, Dynamax, Terras, and meme regional forms and many of the new Pokemon from those games. My setting would basically be Gen 1-3 anime + Pokemon that came after those generations.

I don’t agree with the sentiment that new Pokemon designs are substantially worse. I think most are just passable at best with the occasional really good designs. The main reason that Pokemon designs are less consistent is because the bad designs are much worse than they used to be, for example, the Tinkatranny line. Something like that would have been previously unthinkable.

I tried out AI before, but I didnt go much further than just preparing a sillytavernAI thing, but in general, if I want to make a character, I prefer to have full control of my creation rather than letting a AI take prompts on idea and try to create something out of it.
I have been dealing with the programfor around 1 year and a half or 2, downloading cards/shit and other stuff to try to have a collection going on, and thanks to that I can probably do any kind of character in a day if im motivated enough.
alongside my char and azelie, this is all the chars I have created off frankensteining together shit from various cards and my own imagination up to now. With the amount of mods and shit the game has, people have unironically used the "Studio mode" as a light anime SFM to do their comiccs, their animations and many other things.

I would say..... I like koikatsu just for being capable of controlling what I am making. compared to AI that despite I can add prompts, use different samples and other things, the end result is still out of my control.
If anyone wants, I could go further, but I think this is enough for now.

I think it's fine to take some game mechanics into account. It's safe to say pseudo's are super strong by default but there's partner pokemon now as a concept. So you could easily say this is my Partner clefairy so it has higher stats.

If a pikachu can be that powerfull so can your (insert pokemon here)

The only reason i'd say go hard on game mechanics is when you're comparing pokemon, or people start dickwaving, grim darkwood style.

That was a bad old job.
Basically we went to poverty neighbourhoods to sell "learning opportunities" where people would go to a small building for a few months, get a diploma, but the main interest was "we'll get you legal papers that say you are a legal worker so you can get better jobs". It had an air of scam, but I needed the money.
This went over me badly because we had to buy our own food and pay our own transportation. Basically I lost my money in my attempt to get money.
But the "salesman" where fucking sharks, always spinning the situation on their favor. These motherfuckers could rape a child and then convinve the cops it was their parents' idea. Their tongues were more lethal than the ones from vipers. Those assholes sold me an idea that I would get money, but no, they just wanted tax off trips and free lunch.

I personally would make it so that only the Japan-based regions exists and nothing else.
However, I would keep Pokemon related to Pokemon from those four Regions. Example, Iron Valiant and Alolan Ninetales would exist here.
Would keep Megas too since they happened in ORAS. Fuck all other gimmicks though.

Should clarify, the story is supposed to start during the last week of 5th grade. A special law in Unova allows parents of 10 year olds to prevent them from getting their trainer license until after they finish elementary school, which is what Alex's parents do since he's born in January. There's not even any lockers for him to be shoved into.

Alex doesn't have any relationships throughout the course of his 15 year story, but the first thing that came to my mind was his hypothetical wife being based off of Arrlechino. I had two scrapped storylines involving her, the first one being a timeskip where they're both 30 years old and Alex has to rescue his kidnapped son, and the second one happening after Act 8 where a yandere bitch falsely accuses Alex of raping her, so he has to prove his innocence while his friend and soon to be girlfriend helps him out. It was supposed to end in a trial by combat facilitated by some asspull of an old Unovan law.

It’s only one guy and nobody even likes him, he’s just a hulking piece of shit that has his momma fooled so nobody can do anything. When Alex starts doing his shit, it’s a “vive la revolucion” moment up until the very last thing he does, which his two accomplices have trouble going along with. I won’t reveal what it is, but it’s a tonal shakeup that’s supposed to set the mood for his actions with and later against Team Plasma.

Unrelated, but I’ve also considered making Alex a bit richer right at the start with his dad operating a failing small time oil company, and then he uses the lottery money to pay off the debt and expand it significantly instead of using the money for starting it outright because I felt like that would be too unrealistic.

His father doesn't have a good budget, so he can't go into expeditions, he is at the border of bankrupcy, but then he gets his lucky strike, and since it's a family business or probably his first big investment, he fixes the place rather than sell and rebuild.
This can be followed by positive ventures where he finds oil, so he can expand, and this expansion allows Alex more "leisure time", finally meeting with a Team Plasma follower.
And then it begins the downfall as time goes on until goodbye mom. That's when it gets worst.

A momentous occasion for Axel would be catching a legendary bird. His first instinct would be to take it to a pokemon center to heal it up (since Axel would have to prove his worth in combat). Then it would be to take it to his house to get to know it better. Does it have any particular areas it likes to be scratched/rubbed? How does it interact with any of Axel's other birds? How does it eventually adapt to life under a trainer? Many questions Axel needs to know.

I finally took my time to retouch him.
I ended up coming with the name of Eugene (nickname Gene) Cromwell. His backstory is Basically similar to what was happening with James in the anime. Dude that is from a noble family but doesn't want to deal with all that, but his parents are actually Ok with him travelling because that will help him mature or prepare himself if he actually wants to keep up with that whole thing.
Besides that, he doesn't really have a plot going on, you could consider him the typical random NPC you come across that is a bit more developed, may make you a request, tag along around an area, or you may come across him more than once.

Oh! I can answer that from a couple different angles, actually.
The long of it will actually be given a full answer and conclusion in the main series, while the topic continues to get danced around in my usual breadcrumbs style in the gaiden episodes.
The short of it is a response to extreme mental trauma.

From a design perspective, it came about during the initial sketch back in early January when I was still working with MS Paint. I based the foundation of her appearance (an acrobatic BDSM anarchist) on Aeon Flux, then that bedrock got buried under Kamina because I was listening to the TTGL soundtrack as I worked and my focus started to drift. You can still see some of those core elements with the straps across her torso, her heels, and her exposed hips. From the very beginning before I even started drawing and thought this would be a one-and-done character, I already knew what her full Pokemon team--Scrafty, Malamar, Murkrow, and Zoroark--was going to be, and so incorporated parts of their design motifs into her appearance. This ended up being Zoroark's long hair, Murkrow's crest becoming her bangs, Malamar's vampire (squid) count collar, and Scrafty holding up its pants. Prankster Murkrow's bag of tricks was incorporated into her glove. Throw all these ideas into a blender, and Phos comes out on the other side.

For Franco, I actually worked in reverse while sticking close to his origins as totally-not Trevor Goodchild, making him the opposite of Phos in every way I could think of. Shorter stature, short hair, bright colors, very little exposed skin, Fighting-Type to his deuteragonist's Dark-Type, angular lines instead of smooth curves, etcetera. From that, I extrapolated his team based on key details that I picked up on. Annihilape's red eyes, Tauros because Franco's business cut gives his face a devil horn silhouette, Iron Valiant's green head and white body, and Franco's handkerchief in his pocket very closely resembles the spikes along Great Tusk's back seen in its official art.

Originally, Alex's design was supposed to be a lot more flamboyant, sporting a bright orange suit with a darker orange shirt in reference to how "bright colors in nature are a warning sign". I got rid of this in favor of a generic corpo attire in order to suit his "wolf in sheep's clothing" and 'master of infiltration" vibe. That kind of clothing makes him too recognizable for his enemies and people who suspect him.

Me, being a nasty little pervert. The zipper is a massive tease, utterly emblematic of that feminine beauty that's all too aware of the influence it wields over hotblooded men.

Having a gaudy-colored outfit would be very twink, but it creates a bit of a tone issue. No one bats an eye at Tweny dressing like a flashbang, but he's a walking hoot-and-a-half, so he gets a pass for that. Black is good for any occasion, but maybe you could still find ways to incorporate little hints of brighter colors somewhere along his design? Personally, I think the dark red ribbon gets the point across just fine, but your three-dozen alts are what keeps the lights running in the Mega.

Silas Guy gave me the idea of him just having a bunch of different tailored suits. I also had an idea for one based off of Pecharunt. I figure that could probably me a "ceremonial" outfit he uses for tournaments or a "revenge" outfit that he puts on when he's so confident that he can kill you that he'll make himself a walking target just to rub in your face how untouchable he is. I'm still debating whether most of his missions with Team Plasma and afterwards will be "loud" or "quiet". The only one I'm certain will be "loud" is the finale of Act 4.

Oh boy, what a start to my fucking birthday.

I am awake 2-3 hours earlier than intended.

My folks locked the house up while I was sleeping so nothing could happen while I was asleep cause they're out of town for the day due to issues of another family member. APPARENTLY the knob on our front door knob only works from the OUTSIDE but lets you freely twist the knob and open the door from the INSIDE-- which I didn't know. So I woke up to my dog doing howls cause no one else was in the house and he thought I left too cause I was asleep. I ended up letting him outside and unknowingly locked myself outside because I figured they simply locked the deadbolt cause the knob itself offered ZERO RESISTANCE FROM THE SIDE I OPENED IT ON. Had to ask the fucking landlord's son to help take a screen off the window so he can climb inside and unlock the door for me and my dog and that whole shitshow now has me too awake to go back to fucking sleep.

Ruka anon here. Been a while since I posted. Figured I'd get a backlog of questions answered all at once.

I fleshed her out more, changed her name to "Ruka", populated her world with a few others and really started to think about what kinda stories I'd like to tell with her. Her love of Jynx and dumb stuff like the Pokedex app.
>How stubborn is your OC? What does it take to get them to quit, or alternatively, persist where they would usually give up?
Ruka is pretty unmotivated and might give up on her own if nothing pushes her. However if someone is trying to GET her to give up she will feel more driven to see it through. She works best with negative encouragement.
>What is your OC's relationship with their Starter like?
Ruka thinks of Jynx less like a pokemon and more like a sister. She talks to her like a person and treats her just like any other human. Because of that Jynx is pretty self sufficient at things like Cooking or working.
>How does your OC view Pokemon?
Depends on the pokemon but for the most part she just sees them as super interesting weird creatures that she wants to learn more about. She doesn't "get" it most of the time but loves experiencing different pokemon.
>Your OC is going through an arc/OVA/movie/special episode/etc where they befriend a legendary and/or mythical and maybe even temporarily command them on a battle during the climax.
Gotta go with Mew. I always imagined a running gag where Ruka constantly gets Photobombed by a Mew but has no idea what it is and finds it more annoying than anything. It'd be kind of a fun movie climax to have them team up to defeat some big threat only for Ruka to go their separate ways because she doesn't know how rare Mew is.

Funny way of formulating it cause I never really pondered on who is the weakest mon in Hasumi's team.
From a more abstract point of view, it would probably be Polteageist, especially with le canon reason being that he's around mostly to serve tea and isn't used in combat as often as everyone else, but Flutter Mane is still the least experienced mon in the team (which I sorta use as a balancing factor for it being a Flutter Mane).

Rather well because the Polteageist/Flutter Mane was actually just Zoroark in disguise.

Nope, just look at them both in pity, turn 180 degrees and leave.

As a footnote maybe. As morally inept the whole situation is, it's not quite up there with what Dorado does on a regular Thursday.

Though that last question does remind me of that one idea I had where she's informally challenged to a 1v1 mirror match with another H-Zoroark, so I'll hijack the idea to ramble about it.
The long and short of it, Hasumi's batltetism goes from 0 to 100 faster than a very expensive V12 and jumps in it headlong. Turns out the opponent's Zoroark was a regular Zoroark posing as the Hisuian version and the battle turns into a game where each party most certainly does not want to make the first move.
Partway through she sorta gets the hint that the opposing Zoroark may not be a H-Zoroark, so she takes the initiative to not take the initiative, the opponent loses their patience and goes on the offensive and I got this really cool mental image of Hasumi's Zoroark going up close, shifting into a regular Zoroark and letting out a Focus Blast (all while the opposing one is still in disguise).

Still don't have the middle figured out, on train of thought lead her to figure out the ploy, as "she simply figured it out cause she's smart and experienced in information warfare" is just dumb and stupid.

If there was anything to want for my birthday, it'd be someone unlocking the secret to be able to hack Gen 4 and onward ROMs better so we can basically make fan games out of them as a community to make Nintendo get bent. Those already exist though. There's that one spanish team porting RSE, HGSS and Pt on the BW engine, as well as the one mod adding all of the USUM mons to B2W2, moves and abilities included.

Gen 6-7 was possible for some time, hell TyranitarTube dropped a romhack early on, and the switch games (or at least bdsp) are in unity, and there's the one guy on twitter who's making bdsp good, having managed to add the natdex, megas, Z moves and even terastal I believe, not to mention countless custom variants and animations.
It all probably boils down to retardproofing the process so even the people who would make Dark Rising could make Dark Rising.

I imagine is a "if it workd, don't fix it". But in my random visits to the "/vp/ plays" threads, some games have interesting twists on the engine.
Maybe it could use more optimization. The main complain is that most of the time, they toggle perma speed up just to have normal movement.

Upgraded Weavile's and Dragapult's movesets. I decided that Throat Chop and Dragon Rush would be made redundant by Night Slash and Dragon Darts, so I gave them better coverage in Cross Chop and Bullet Seed. They still know them, but they won't be "main moves" anymore. I also upgraded Flamethrower to Fire Blast because apparently that's something Dragapult can have. It's also supposed to shoot Bullet Seed out of the two smaller horns that the Dreepy don't inhabit, like a real jet's autocannon. The idea is that it uses ranged attack to knocks enemies out of the sky before finishing them off. Folder Guy I request yet another update.

Do you guys ever think about how attacks are executed in relation to how your Pokémon fights? I originally had Iron Head on this for Archaludon as a “main move”, however I replaced it because charging at your opponent headfirst with your head bent down so your horns face then sounds strong, but it leaves you vulnerable. Same thing with running towards your opponent to do a Body Press. That’s why Archaludon mostly uses Dragon Claw and sometimes Brick Break for close range fights, because it leaves it in a less vulnerable position. Iron Head is mostly for getting out of a potential headlock. That’s why a lot of Alex’s Pokemon mostly go for wide type coverage instead of STABbing when considering their main modes of attack, and relying on primarily two to three STABs in addition to those. I think ten moves + any “inherent” moves (mostly signature moves) is a fine enough limit in my writing. Something else I should note is that for my writing, Frustration isn’t necessarily dependent upon how much the Pokemon hates it’s Trainer just like how Return isn’t necessarily based upon how much the Pokémon likes its Trainer. Instead, it’s based on how angry/happy the Pokemon is as a whole. Abusing/Pampering your Pokémon is just a quick method of powering the move up, but Pokemon that are always angry like the Manley line or Pokemon that are always happy like the Chansey line can execute a strong Frustration/Return much more easily. Poltergeist would be on a case by case basis since its disposition is affected by the blend of tea it comes from, leading to a stronger or weaker Frustration/Return based on how easily it becomes angered/happy. I don’t know if this would be the case with Sinistcha, but perhaps whisking itself could power up Frustration/Return depending on if it decides to channel its anger or happiness during the whisking. Perhaps whisking powers up not just Matcha Gotcha but all of its attacks as a whole. It’s interesting how thinking about the existence of a Pokémon and/or attack can raise so many questions. For instance, does a Revavroom have to change rocks like a car changes tires, or is it just good with the same set of rocks for life? Is the engine hollow, or does it function like a real engine?

Excellent points and interesting questions. According to Varoom's dex entries, it's an endolith that leeches nutrients from the rocks that its metal body latches onto, so it assuredly has to switch out as the mineral content gets depleted and the rocks become brittle and inefficient. This checks out, as Baron and Revavroom show up in some odd places, like atop mountains and inside Paldea's quarry--there's a lot of territory overlap with Salti, sorry Jimmy, I meant NaCli, the walking lithotrophic block of minerals. Not every area that has Nacli has Varoom, but all areas with Varoom have Nacli. Interpret that as you will.
The engine portion is the Pokemon, with all the implications therein. Destroy the rocks, and it will use what energy reserves it has to scurry away and find a new set of rocks to chisel into shape and hitch a ride on.

Now, it depends on the circunstances:
If it's, say, an official league battle, he would try to "bait" the attacking monster. He would guide his weak mon I have no idea what to put here, since I haven't played Gen 8. But probably a Galar mon, I always use region exclusives. Maybe Flappe? A dragon from the beginning sounds interesting, and when the Ghost starts to bang itself against the walls, launch an attack when he comes back. Full movement meets innactive object, ends in a sure knockout.
Now, if it's anime rules, he would defeat the guy, and proceed to tell the guy "you aren't worth to be a trainer if you treat him that badly". Then we see the guy ditch the little kettle, breaks the kettle, and the only thing the ghost found to recover was a cup, so back to zero, it cries out of anger and frustration (not the move), and David appears. It would be an small arc of him knowing how much anger the spirit had repressed over time. By the time it's better and friendly, he would met the guy again, go for a rematch, met the same result, but this time Polteageist aces the battle.
The guy complains and howls, then screams "Friendship is dumb! You cheated!", and David answers "I won because I know my friends as much as they know me. Fight me as much times as you want, you'll never win."
Now I don't know what would be more convenient: keep the kettle as a sign that new friendships help you overcome your past anger, or give it away as a sign that even friends are temporary, but you do your best on your own.
At least I would make it quirky, hidding in many pots and kettles, and even tea boxes. Maybe one episode where it thought it was a good idea to hide as tea, David drinks it, and it possesses him for a while.

An alternate outfit for Axel based off RBY's Poke Maniac trainer class. Unfortunately it seems like Poke Maniac seems to be a trainer class specifically for KaijuMons, much like how Birdkeepers are specially for flying-type birds. Upgraded Aegislash's moveset. It still knows Iron Head and King's Shield but doesn't use them as often. I would have gone for Shadow Claw originally, but decided that Aegislash wouldn't be able to learn Shadow Claw because it doesn't have claws. Phantom Force adds to the mindgames as well by allowing it to not only block, but dissapear to dodge as well. I also take Iron Head to be very literal, Aegislash would imbue the power into its hilt and strike with it like a spear. But this would put it in a vulnerable position, so it doesn't use it as often.

Furianon, if you’re still around to see this (you aren’t), I think for your next community contributions you should set it in some kind of colosseum or whatever battles take place in inside of Furia. It can be a dream or it can be a rift in time like I did with the Alex interview. It would be an interesting opportunity to showcase how people write battles and how matches are done in Furia.

A funny idea I had is that after Alex gets his Key Stone, he has a few bouts with Absol and Pidgeot only to realize that his team functions better without the Megas. He still wears the earring though, because of the power projection that it gives off and also because it makes him look cuter.

I suppose CH-CH-CH-CH-CHARIZAAAAAAAARD from K-K-K-K-KANTOOOOOOO would fit his team’s synergy, but that’s also honestly kind of boring, so I don’t think I’ll go for it.
