It's an immersion/atmosphere thing, you wouldn't get it. It's there to sell you on the scope of the situation, and it works.

Distortion World is overrated as shit. While it's a cool backdrop you can't even enjoy it because you just got done mashing A through the Galactic Hideout AND Mt. Coronet. Like holy fuck just let me get this boring ass Galactic storyline over with so I can go to Sunyshore. OP on the other hand is short and sweet.

DP's legendary summon was better. I actually felt a bit disturbed by how the box legendary flexed its power in a eldritch way and replaced all of Sinnoh's sky with this strange pattern. This is the apocalypse.

RS have less backtracking and an infinitely better final boss in the form of Steven. They also run slightly faster.
