She is mostly liked by annoying retards who are in their mid to late 20s who likely played DP as their very first Pokemon game and going into her fight with an overleveld starter, cover legendary, hm slave, and 2/3 other shitmons made them crap their pants at how "overpowered" she was and that stuck with them.
There's tons of characters hotter than her. She's not a "thicc mommy", she's flat as fuck in canon even.
She doesn't do jack shit in the story, there's other champions who are more involved.
She isn't the hardest fight, there's plenty of other trainers or champions that are harder than her.
She's not the best trainer, there's other trainers with better team comps than her.
Basically she's coasting off childhood nostalgia and mild attractiveness.
