Probably it's because I'm playing Sword simultaneously, but holy shit is it better in every way despite being a 3ds game.
Better plot, better characters, better animation, better performance.
So I bought the other ultra game and I'm hunting down the vanilla versions of S&M, this might be my favorite generation out of them all.
