Paradoxes arent lazy at all, they have even genius references like past Jigglypuff having remnants of Mew DNA that no imbecillic pokemon fan even recognized as obvious as it is.
But they were probably somewhat rushed. It's just sad a generation so strongly based on alternative timelines dont let you travel in them even while you do in Legends Arceus and other characters do in the same game lol.
I strongly believe they could keep the series going based solely on Terapagos and his abilities. Theres so much stuff they could do solely with that, and Pokemon would finally become a succession and proper improvement rather than repeating the same fucking 30 year old schemes in different ways
