Contests? Almost any pokemon can possibly be good here, it's just purely a matter of movepool afterall, with Smeargle being the best I guess.
I think Aurorus could've been a usable pokémon if it wasn't for her stats distribution. Swaps its HP with its Sp. Atk and you got a usable Snow Warning user (or maybe a Hyper Voice + Refrigerate user)

it's good in story mode. refrigerate + good normal moves by levelup make it surprisingly strong. not the greatest pokemon ever but it gets the job done

Ice is not the reason Aurorus is bad. The reason Aurorus is bad is because of its stat distribution which is utter garbage in modern Pokemon, lack of movepool and lacking a bullshit signature move and/or ability like most Pokemon from Gen 7 onward.

The move pool isn't the problem anymore (other then not having power gem)
its got ice stabs, freeze-dry, thunderbolt psychic, earth power, thunder wave, clam mind, aurora veil, ancient power and meteor beam.
I think the worst part of Aurorus other than the obvious slow ice/rock typing is it want to hit hard and with 99 spatk it just cant if it were 110 or something it would be a bit better in lower tiers.

It's usable in Go from what I recall, mostly because Fighting types aren't too common (or weren't to my memory since I haven't touched Go in a long while and now with it going full troon I'm never touching it again)
and it had a pretty good matchup in ultra league against the big names like Giratina, though it's weak to so many things that it's a very risky pick despite having access to a solid movepool and pretty okay bulk.
As an Aggronfag myself, I fully understand how miserable you feel.

This, and it made me looks, you have litteraly only 3 special rock move not tied to a gimmick: Ancient Power, Power Gem and Meteor Beam.

At this point Game Freak should be fully aware of all the disappointment people rightfully have for Aurorus.
