>>55828852When NFEs beat Evolved Pokémon or other strong Pokémon in the anime it's usually because they are over-leveled. The anime also doesn't take the idea of stats too seriously. You can do the same thing in the games. You can get any Pokémon to the Hall of Fame with enough grinding and Item spam.
As for competitive, not every Pokémon is supposed to be good at Pokémon Battles. We just need other stuff we can do with our Pokémon as in-depth as Pokémon Battles.
For example. I'd really like a Pokémon Contest side series. A Pokémon Contest metagame sounds fun. Imagine the Baby Pokémon being overpowered in the Cute Category simply because it would make sense for cute Pokémon like them to be good at that.
