"Special Attack" and "Special Defense" are bad names for stats. What would you change them to if you were in charge?

"Willpower" is kind of an awkward one to use since nenriki is already what the basic Psychic move (Confusion) is called in JP. Mind? Or just keep it as Special to have some consistency with Gen 1.

Why?
It's perfectly describes what it does. It's ATK/DEF but special. Any fancy fantasy-esque name would force complete rework of game - there's nothing "wise" in breathing fire and having "strong willpower" is not helping you with surviving a thunderbolt.

And special means what exactly, to someone who has never played the game? Usually a 'special attack' means a specific attack that a character has developed that is unique or specifically suited to that character. In Pokemon it vaguely refers to elemental moves, except that's not even universally true. Why is the ability to summon a fireball for Ember 'special' and the ability to summon rocks for Rock Slide not?

Special attack and special defense makes perfect sense. Calling it some other retarded shit you have to come up with like wisdom or whatever the fuck is NOT intuitive and kids would just think they're making their pokemon smarter because they might have to take a test later on in the game or something because they're retarded little kids that don't know shit.
