Right now the main games are 3D and the lack of Pokemon is a perfect excuse to sell DLCs, applications, or complementary games like PLA.
Even so, I would like to see a continuation or epilogue, obviously they can't invest much so it would be just a smartphone game with simple graphics, maybe a farm management game and through the NPC dialogues you will find out what has happened to the region of Orre.
