And then the whole fucking franchise shifted after that to a weird playschool style world where you needed to be as coddled as possible. Gen 7, for all its faults, still had a better tone than 8 or 9 and was still cool with not pulling its punches nearly as much. And I'm sad we'll never start down that road again. I bet you, if remakes are made in 10 or 15 years for Alola, bed sniffing and the Lillie story will be gone and heavily changed and the reaction to people complaining will be "Ugh! These disgusting gamers are really mad about this terrible stuff being removed!" And we'll just have to sit down and shut up and accept it.
