How come every other GBA game looks so much better than the Pokemon ones?

They kept up-to-date with graphics on the Gameboy, yet for the GBA they randomly stopped progressing. Why?

Show me the various side activities and end-game game mode.

Why would someone care about using a feature from the early 2000s now? It was made for its time, it was used in its time and was enjoyed in its time. They *obviously* develop features to be used in this time, just like the current online features will be eventually shutdown in the future.

No they didn't, GB Pokemon games look worse compared to FFL2 and 3 which came out several years earlier, and they look even worse when compared to their actual contemporaries on the same system. Pokemon graphics always ranged from shit to just serviceable.

RSE don't have bad graphics by GBA 2D game standards, they just don't add any unnecessary frills that make the borders of the tiles unclear. Shading, reflections, they got it all. Well, I guess they COULD have made them in 3D, though, since the GBA was a 32-bit handheld.

Agreed. Maybe the tilesets could be better, but it's not hideous. Minish Cap came out later and apparently is entirely played in the overworld which is quite unlike Pokemon. Different artistic priorities.
