Gen V remakes and mega mawile don't have to be mutually exclusive. Knowing lazy freak, they will be, but in theory, there are no megas for gen 6+ pokemon, so you could in theory have a gen 5 remake with all 650 pokemon that were available in the original gen 5, along with mega stones shoehorned into the post game like in gen 7
