It's treated as merely a plot tool for Kieran, failing to show its place in the world or discuss any questions players might have had. You could have replaced terapagos with anything else and the plot would be the same.
They do the same thing with the shitty mochi thing. What is it, why did it make the loyal three, why did they revive when Kieran punched the shrine, who cares look at the funny dance lmao
Ogerpon is fundamental to its DLC. You spend the entire time talking about it and chasing after it, characters even have unique interactions if you use it in battle. It's treated as important as a legendary should and the player is given time to care for it both in story and in battle.
