>>55843581The gameplay is a little bland although somewhat serviceable the last 2 games including the remake allow you to build teams easier so I find them more enjoyable.
The story is entertaining, the writing is about what you would expect from a game made for the 7-12 audience but the events that occur during the stories kept me entertained throughout even when the sometimes frustrating gameplay made me want to stop playing. The characters are filled with personality which is what really elevates the game for me, along with the great soundtracks.
If you like one of them you'll probably like the others although gates to infinity had a rushed development and is the weakest in my opinion since its gen 5 Pokémon only.
I really like these games but I could understand why some people would not like them, I would definitely recommend trying explorers of sky at a minimum.
