I actually really like Jynx in hindsight. One of the best Gen 1 designs in both how much of a cultural deep cut it is and in how it manages to marry the design philosophies of Psychic and Ice types in Gen 1 so perfectly. Helps that it's genuinely a really fun Pokemon to use and my favorite lead in Gen 1 pvp.
I just think it's a shame they censored her, black made the face look more like a void (like Tangela's eye slots) while the purple just looks like skin.

Jynx was their only option really. Santa needed an Ice type helper and the only others Ice types in Gen 1 either lived in the water or was a legendary. Not to mention Jynx was the only one of those options with hands.
