also the routes suck they're just hallways and all you can catch are grass types and their levels never go above 15 and trainers never have more than one pokemon.
the gyms are garbage they have no trainers and when they do they all get one shotted, the gym leader is even weaker and they can't even do their job of handing out the badge, it's always some stupid excuse not to turn it over.
the elite four is piss weak and the kanto leaders are the game's only saving grace but you have to play this game to fight them, honestly it's not worth the time, showdown is better.
but seriously, showdown is better, CAP is best format and helps wash off the taste of garbage nothingmons with their perfect, optimized designs that are about as good as badass sinnoh pokemon
