Hey I know your thing apparently is that you don't take criticism, but why the FUCK would you make another Water-type turtle starter? Also if you're not trolling my genuine advice is to start over from scratch. I know it sounds hard but if you're laboring this much over a starter trio because you're constantly unhappy about them, rip it up, find new ideas that you're happy with, and send them into the world. I think the fire frog is better than the fire turtle you had, but it's personally not my favorite of the three. I also liked the rabbit better than this water turtle. There's already a turtle starter in Squirtle and a starter that has a similar body shape in Popplio. The grass starter is cool, the final evolution looks a lot like the Hydra from kirby air ride.

Staff feels out of place and not something built upon in earlier stages. I associate magical girls with ribbons and there may be potential to make use of the horns in the design to communicate this.

i think you need to ditch the turtle as a starter entirely, or maybe use it for another mon in the dex if anything. it's not nearly as strong of a design as the beetle or the frog.

I think you need to just settle on designs that you are happy with (you, not us), and not worry so much about trying to fulfill some theme.

it ought to be more obviously fire type than just being orange. like, magma between the shell cracks or something. your frog is already an incredibly strong design though and i don't think you should get rid of it as your starter.

Top. Having all the shells be black looks too samey. It's better if the different stages are a bit varied, and it makes the black in the last stage pop out more if it's the only one that has it.

I actually prefer these, I really like the progression of the first stage having a regular shell, but having the bright orange lines only appear as it evolves. It evoked the feeling of the shell cracking open revealing the fire/magma/heat within, as if its power is growing too big to be contained

I'm working on a line based on toys, a steel-type spinning top that evolves into a steel/fighting rock 'em sock 'em robot. Still very unfinished of course. Right now I'm debating if the middle stage should have legs or if maybe that should just be the final stage, so there's more of a progression. What do you guys think?
