Landorus isn't centralizing. It's a glue-mon. Typically bulky Flying and/or Ground type pivots end up having high usage rates because they fill a viable niche and can compress a lot of roles into one slot. In Ubers, that's Yveltal since it's fat and has a lot of utility. In Gen 3/4 it was Swampert. In Gen 9 it's Great Tusk. Landorus is just the best glue-mon in Gens 5 - 8 OU.

Yeah and they should be able to know all moves they can learn simultaneously, have all stats nature-boosted at once, and have 252 EVs in all stats. Then we won't have to make any choices at all in what to bring other than the species itself.

The tier would be unplayable. Flutter Mane would have 80% usage rate, people would be running the most degenerate strategies possible, and no one would play the tier.

Smogon made a meta that played with cart rules and the tier died down incredibly quickly because it was unfun and unbalanced.

Yeah, and I see the large amount of Pokemon and ways they can be as a strength of the franchise. I mostly avoid metafaggotry since it minmaxes everything and leaves only a comparatively small handful of viable Pokemon and movesets. Especially when Smogon gets involved and picks their favorite strategy and then bans anything that poses a serious threat to it.

Clefable is actually incredibly good in that meta. Clodsire is just a little bit better though since it's got Water Absorb + Unaware. Immunity to Rain sweepers is no joke.
