Currently in NU due to powercreep, but it was OU in its debut gen and solidly UU for over half of the gens it's existed for. Could be better, but could also be a lot worse.

it has a niche on sun teams for eruption spam and it does it reasonably well, but it's nothing special. being mediocre but having a strong use case is generally what I like most in a pokemon though, so i'd say it's pretty good

Absol was good for like half of gen 4. Bullet Punch Scizor took over its niche and then in BW Bisharp came out and was the better dark type. Mega Absol was powercrept instantly and never had a chance. I’ve been in the acceptance stage for a long time.

Spent most Gens in UU with a few dips into NU/RU. Considering how the other Johto starters are doing, I'm pretty content with that.

Considering all of what people said about Aurorus in a playthrough I expected to be in for a bad time. Granted it had like five full IVs (shiny team playthrough in USUM), but still. IIRC the only motherfucker was a wild Honchkrow that used Steel Wing.

cheesed Totem Kommo-o and Ultra Necrozma with a Megearna because they can legitimately go fuck themselves given my previous playthroughs

I don't keep up with Smogon or competitive in general nowadays, but I doubt Sylveon's that good.
