>>55876998It doesn't really need a fix, the issue with Normal type falling out of favor for one is that Fighting types are way too overtuned and Gayfreak has made sure to give almost everything in the game Close Combat. Several Normal types like Snorlax would be perfectly fine if they were given the things they need to succeed, ie recovery moves, Snorlax deserves Slack Off for instance, it's the perfect move both mechanically and thematically for it and Gayfreak just refuses to give it. On other cases like RBY's king Tauros it's a lack of care put into it, it could absolutely return to form as a formidable attacker if it had better coverage to abuse it off of Sheer Force, there's even less notorious mons like Noctowl that could easily find niches if they were just given small boosts or moveset updates, but the fundamental issue with Normal types is that they're typically inherently balanced by well, being a rather plain type and the problem is that decent and plain just doesn't cut it anymore by the way things are going, we've gotten to a point that box legendaries are dropping to OU because powercreep has gotten so out of hand, even if we ignore competitive, it feels like Gayfreak has deliberately gone out of their way for years to make Normal types bad, in gen 1 they were introduced with widespread and adaptable movepools to use, but it feels like ever since gen 4 came around, Normal types just stopped getting amazing movepools.
>>55880340Genuinely retarded, geomancy is a thing that could easily justify the crap out of more Rock type special moves being added, but gamefreak is too lazy and incompetent to do that, there's plenty of wiggle room for Electric physical moves as well since discharges of electricity and kinetic energy are always discharged when we make contact with something. I find the excuses some retards come up with to try and "justify" some nonsensical viewpoint that's so easily disproven in seconds.
