This franchise is the epitome of wasted potential. I quit Pokemon years ago because everything about it pales in comparison to what it could be. Lots of great ideas in this franchise, but either nothing is done with them or what we do get falls short of what it could have been either because of time constraints or because the developers and writers aren't talented enough. I don't see how such a consistently underwhelming franchise still has fans.
