so random thought right but if someone lived in say lavender town for example would they have to travel all the way to pewter city when they start their Pokemon journey and we always just happen to get lucky in where our protagonist lives in each game?

cause that's a lot more legwork for someone living further away, the only thing i can think of is that maybe they have teams for you based on badge number i guess but then you aren't ever asked to show your badges or how many badges you have at any point?
