>>55889475Paradoxes are a neat concept dragged down by a mediocre to bad execution.
Past Paradoxes don't look too terrible but they could've used an extra dose of creativity beyond throwing spikes or fur at it and/or fusing them with dinosaurs, something to really sell these creatures as "ancestors" of their counterparts. For instance, make Flutter Mane seem more tribal or make Sandy Shocks a magnetite-based creature rather than still using magnets as part of its design.
Future Paradoxes on the other hand could've had something going if they all followed the same route of Iron Treads and Iron Valiant: machines that take after existing Pokemon but with their own "twist" to them, such as the former sharing a body plan with Donphan but with several differences upon closer inspection and the latter drawing from both Gardevoir and Gallade as inspiration. Instead, most of them wind up as the same Pokemon but with a chrome finish which really sucks (Iron Jugulis and the Paradox musketeers being the most offensively bad). These Paradoxes need more drastic alterations to give them their own identity while still resembling their counterparts: go all in on Iron Bundle's motif as a toy robot, use Iron Moth's wings/panels to give it a satellite-like appearance, make Iron Jugulis more plane-like with its smaller heads acting as detachable drones.
