why is clefable bonkers strong in every single category while wigglytuff is just a ghetto chansey?

The main advantage for Clefable is access to Soft-boiled and great abilities. The stats and typing are basically the same, even after gen 6 updates. Wigglytuff can sometimes take advantage of Competitive in ways Clefable can't replicate, but since the stat spread on both mon are mostly defensive Clefable will seem stronger when directly compared.

Game Freak designed Wigglytuff to make Clefable look better. Just because Gake Freak has a fetish for GenWun doesn’t mean they care about all Gen 1 Pokemon equally.
