Yesterday's thread kinda went down the shitter, so I wanna try and get a proper one.

I like Avalanche. shit's STRONG. If I have the ability to run it on a bulky physical pokemon, I'm going to. shit's GOOD. Combo's stupid well with Ice Shard, too.

I never get to succeed with Avalanche but it has potential

My favorites are
>Freeze Dry, OHKOing pelipper and gastrodon with this is so satisfying
>First Impression, hits hard and has +2 priority
>Sucker Punch, feels like a quick draw in a gunfight
And from the non-offensive moves, I guess it's Wide Guard

FOCUS PUNCH is the most fun move in the game. Either setting it up with sleep or a substitute, or just doing it raw and dumpstering whatever dumbass pokemon they just switched in

I miss Mud Bomb, it was solid ground coverage when Earthquake wasn't viable from either stats or being in doubles/Mystery Dungeon/etc.

Focus Punch is kino as fuck. It's a shame how nonspecial having a triple digit base power has become over time. FP was such a cool move because even though it had high distribution the weakness was interesting and not something any pokemon could just bypass. Nowadays anything under 100 BP is basically a joke unless it has priority or for coverage, close combat was such a downgrade it's unreal.

i hate close combat. The description is vague in a way that allows basically anything to learn it, and there's no downside to spamming it if you're fast enough.

Gen 3 aurora beam is probably my favorite animation. As far as usage goes I have no favorite, I like sets that fit the pokemon's lore rather than slapping whatever's strongest on it, especially in newer gens where everything gets relatively wide distribution.
