The problem is that the games haven't improved enough to actually make Dexit feel like a worthy sacrifice. Pokémon games are still being made like they're generations behind other Nintendo games (I keep seeing comparisons to Gamecube games, frankly that's an insult to the actual Pokémon RPGs on there.), the animations are still shitty, despite higher quality animations being Game Freak's reason for justifying Dexit, and overall, the games just don't feel as fun when your favorite got cut just so Pikachu, the Eeveelutions, the Psyduck line, the Lucario line, and Charizard (because he's Game Freak's special boy) can take up space in the game.
Tell me, why can a 3DS have a Pokémon game with all (at the time) 807 Pokémon, but it's too much for the Switch, a far more powerful console, to have a game with 1025 Pokémon?
