The whole point of Pokemon is that it appeals to all ages. Unlike digishit which is only designed for edgy preteen boys which is why it failed so hard as a franchise.

Because digimon is ded besides milking adventure 01 all the time. While pokemon keeps making money with their same old formula.

Not really the same thing since Red and Blue are still Pokemon trainers that travel with the same Pokemon from when they were kids. I guess Blue did study in Kalos, but we don't know for what.
