I am 36 years old, and have been playing since the beginning. Out of all the generations I've played so far, few have been as exquisitely well-done as Gen 9. Everything from the characters, to the quests, to the open world and the Pokemon, themselves, this has been a terrific game, despite the hardware shortcomings of the Switch, and I am so, so glad I bought it. This is Pokemon the way old people like myself always knew it was meant to be played. The region of Paldea is set between Portugal, Spain, and partially France, and the designers knew to include the right legacy Pokemon from the proper regions to reflect that: You see Pokemon from Alola to represent the oceanic mons, Pokemon from Kalos to represent France, Pokemon from Galar to represent the UK, which is so close to the source region, and Pokemon all their own from the Paldea region. Toby Fox's score is terrific and I look forward to more of his work in future Pokemon products. And I saved the best for last with my praise: Picrel, she's been like the Pikachu to my Ash Ketchum (Bug Tera Type with Cross Poison and X-Scissor). I love it so much it's unreal.
