because nugamefreak can't make good designs to save their lives. they would rather be lazy and haphazardly slap ugly colors and shapes all over the older mons rather than making new designs from the ground up like what we got in gen 1, 3 and 5

The new legs always seemed a little weird to me but overall one of the few megas I would say has a solid design. In gen 1 Pinsir gets basically nothing but normal moves since so few bug and fighting type moves that it basically has nothing else, I find the idea of its mega letting it now be able to abuse all of those charming assuming that was involved in any part of its gameplay design.
