Everyone hated Johto in GSC due to how much it leaned on KANTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, and HGSS did nothing to fix that glaring flaw. Hence why game Freak blacklisted the Johto dex. Masuda decided that the next game would be his Magnum Opus so he created BW and designed Unova to be a fully-realized region completely independent from KANTOOOOOOOOOOO and made the Gen5 dex completely standalone. But GenWunners threw a tantrum because they couldn’t spam CHARIZARD in BW so they started a smear campaign against Unova to make retarded casuals hate Unova. masuda was so disappointed about his Magnum Opus being spat in that he gave up and the franchise went to shit.
